Waiting upon the Lord.

We are living a life predestined by God. Everyday is new to us, neither do we know of our next move, only that we have plans, and exact outcomes do we not have any idea as Proverbs 16:1
says that the preparations of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.

God alone knows it all, because He created us and is omniscient, all knowing, knows everything including our today and tomorrow.

However, life allocates us in different locations everytime. In our expectations, it is important to have an understanding that God alone knows the outome. Therefore waiting upon the Lord guarantees us an outcome that we shall not regret.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

According to the scripture above, we learn that God gives energy or sustains those who wait upon him. This is because waiting takes unpredictable time. That’s why any waiting requires patience, but waiting upon the Lord is different, it has provisions along the way, and renewal, of self, that God is going to do, because once waiting upon him we know that he is not a man to lie, as scripture denotes;

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that He should lie.

It is important to learn that waiting upon the Lord requires focus towards Him. Deeds that are alligned to His will, to always dwell in Him. David says that I long for Your salvation, O Lord, And Your law is my delight (Psalms 119:174).

As we wait upon the Lord to answer us, let rest in him. Serve him in this time, live by his word, fellowship more and seek to know his will, pray, read his word and in no time we shall see the Lord do it all for us.

Psalms 37:4
Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Share, and may the Lord bless you.
